Galaxian
Virtual Observatory
A virtual observatory (VO) is a collection of interoperating data archives and software tools which utilize the internet to form a scientific research environment in which astronomical research programs can be conducted. The VO consists of a number of data centres each with unique collections of astronomical data, software systems and processing capabilities.
The Galaxian Virtual Observatory (GVO) is a part of BulgarianVirtual Observatory
Project. In our database
section we will present our observational data for projects
"Individual galaxies", "Active galactic nuclei", "Gravitational
lensing", "Structure of Galaxy", "Box/Peanut galaxies" etc. mainly from
the 2_m RCC telescope of BNO
"Rozhen" and 60_cm telescope of Belogradchik observatory,
some data from 1.23_m, 2.2_m and 3.6_m telescopes of Calar Alto
observatory and some others data and in methods
of
reduction we will present basic steps of calibration and software
packages we use, some statistical investigations of our data bases
etc. All details co. our investigations could be found in WEB_page of Department "Galaxies" of
the Institute of Astronomy of
the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
