Abstract Text: *
A review of the theoretical determination of Stark broadening parameters of spectral lines of
rare-earth elements Sc, Y, La, Eu, Nb and Lu in various ionization stages will be
presented.They are also used for the investigation of the importance of Stark broadening in
stellar atmospheres and results of such investigations will be presented and discussed.
